Youth Hunts: (NOTE: Youth hunters must be 15 years of age or younger and must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult 18 years of age or older.)
 NE = Sept. 23 & 24.   BOS, SoCal, SSJ = Feb. 3 & 4.   Col Riv = Feb. 3.


Duck Bag Limits: 7 ducks/ up to 7 mallards/ but not more than 2 hen mallard (except in the Colorado River Zone where the regulations has to match Arizona), 1 pintail (either sex), 1 canvasback (either sex), 2 redhead (either sex), 3 scaup.
Duck Hunting:
To hunt ducks, you must possess a valid California hunting license, a California Duck Stamp and a Federal Migratory Bird Stamp. Hunters under the age of 12 may hunt if they have taken and passed a hunter safety course and possess a valid California hunting license.

State and Federal Stamps:
State Duck Stamps and Federal Migratory Bird Stamp can be purchased at DFG offices or licensed agents. These stamps must be placed in the spaces provided on your California hunting license.
