Pigeon Hunting Seasons:

GENERAL and ARCHERY SEASONS: (Ban-tailed Pigeons)

NORTHERN ZONE:
Alpine, Butte, Del Norte, Glenn, Humbolt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Tehama, & Trinity Counties:
The third Saturday in September extending for 9 consecutive days (September 18 - 26).

SOUTHERN ZONE:
Includes the balance of the state not included in the northern zone described above.
The season shall open on the third Saturday in December extending for 9 consecutive days (December 18 - 26).
Shoot Time:
One half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Daily Bag Limit:
Daily bag limit is 2 pigeons per day.

Possession Limit:
Double the daily bag limit (4 pigeons).
Pigeon Hunting:
To hunt pigeons, you must possess a valid California hunting license. Hunters under the age of 12 may hunt if they have taken and passed a hunter safety course and possess a valid California hunting license.
